This company cold called my 77 year old mother and made it sound like they were calling from Cadillac. She bought there extended warranty which was cancelled as soon as I found out about it.

She is due a full refund according to the contract terms. I gave them the original 6-8 weeks allowed to refund before beginning my campaign. To date I have called five times over 3 months and talked to what I can only assume are the only three people who answer the phone: Michael, Beverly and their supervisor, David Chandler. Bottom line is the mysterious refund department has no phone, has a variety of vague problems and runs on their own schedule which no one is privy to.

I am unsure at this point if persistence will result in a check or most likely, they have no intention of ever refunding a penny.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

Location: Chesterfield, Missouri

Yes, I am experiencing the same problem at this very time in Shreveport, LA. As of today, 11/29/15, I will be turning my complaint over to the local field office of the FBI.

I was told by my attorney that since these transactions are across state lines that it has become not only a state matter but federal as well. I am going to include the auto dealership in my complaint to the FBI since they have done nothing to help me with my refund requests and have actually become as difficult to communicate with as EFG. I've had enough. Spoke with the auto manufacturer's customer service rep today and he assured me that they would intervene on my behalf with the dealer since they used a non-dealer approved extended warranty vendor for the warranty contract.

Talk among dealer employees is that the delay and ultimate refusal to refund is standard policy with the dealer, not the exception.

I think, as does my attorney, that it is time for legal action. Can anyone say "Class Action" lawsuit????

I too got a call from EFG group so called Honda Companies official Warranty extender.

Pushing me to buy this 553 $ per yr for 5 yrs.

I said i was not sure and will need to some time and the supervisor got on call and started bullying me to get the policy by statments like "you need it soon" and other scar tactics.

My thought is this is a scam.
